JUST RELEASED: The Parisii Quartet will perform works by Ibert and Ravel on March 18 at Lincoln Center as part of the 2012 Great Performers series
Works by Ibert and Ravel will be featured when the Parisii Quartet from France performs at a “Sunday Morning Coffee Concert” at Lincoln Center on Sunday, March 18, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. in the Walter Reade Theater.
Formed in 1984 by four prize-winning graduates of the Conservatoire National Superieur de Paris – Arnaud Vallin, violin; Jean-Michel Berrette, violin; Dominique Lobet, viola; and Jean-Philippe Martignoni, cello – the Parisii Quartet won early acclaim with its triumphs at three major international competitions: Banff (1986), Munich (1987), and Evian (1987). Invitations followed from the major concert halls and festivals of Europe, and since then, the Parisii has since toured regularly throughout Europe and the United Kingdom. Highlights of the Parisii’s recent European seasons include concerts in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Edinburgh, Lausanne, Barcelona, and Madrid.
