JUST RELEASED: Pianist Murray Perahia will give his only New York recital of the season on March 25 at Lincoln Center.
Murray Perahia, one of the most cherished pianists of our time, will give his only New York recital of the season on the afternoon of Sunday, March 25, at 3 PM in Avery Fisher Hall as part of Lincoln Center’s Great Performers series. His program encompasses works by Bach, Beethoven, Brahms, Schubert, and Chopin.
In the more than 35 years he has been performing on the concert stage, American pianist Murray Perahia has become one of the most sought-after and cherished pianists of our time, performing in all of the major international music centers and with every leading orchestra. He is the Principal Guest Conductor of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields, with whom he has toured as conductor and pianist throughout the United States, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia. His March 2012 tour will take him to Vancouver; Berkeley, CA; Kansas City, MO; Bethesda, MD; and Quebec City before his Lincoln Center concert.
