The renowned Bamberg Symphony returns to Lincoln Center’s Great Performers.  The soloist for both programs is acclaimed pianist Christian Zacharias, who will perform Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2 on the first night and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 4 on the second. With Schubert’s monumental symphonies as the centerpiece, the May 20 concert will pair his “Tragic” Symphony No. 4 in C minor, D.417 with Webern’s Five Pieces, Op. 10, and the May 21 concert will pair the “Unfinished” Symphony No. 8 in B minor, D.759 with Ives’ The Unanswered Question.(Read the entire press release here.)
