Takács Quartet to perform with Marc-André Hamelin
In a review of the Takács Quartet, The Guardian (London) writes, “The Takács Quartet are matchless, their supreme artistry manifest at every level. In any quartet, players’ individual traits are always apparent, yet, with the Takács, every facet of their musicianship serves the music in such a way that the character and personality of the composer emerges with extraordinary intensity. The most familiar music takes on a new purity and significance.” On October 25th, at 7:30pm, this brilliant quartet will be joined by pianist Marc-André Hamelin for their 2012/13 Great Performers performance in Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall. Mark your calendars for this one-night performance!
