Heiner Goebbels returns to Lincoln Center with “I went to the house but did not enter”

Tomorrow night, and also on the 14th, the vocal chamber group Hilliard Ensemble will perform I went to the house but did not enter, a work by Grammy-nominated German composer/director Heiner Goebbels. This White Light Festival staged concert will take place in the Rose Theater, at 7:30pm, on both nights. 


 

Listen to German composer/director Heiner Goebbels talk about his work and see a sampler of performances. Goebbels has brought many of his creations to Lincoln Center, including Black on White, Eraritjaritjaka, and Stifters Dinge. And on November 13th and 14th, as part of Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival, he returns with I went to the house but did not enter, which will be performed by the vocal chamber group Hilliard Ensemble. This performance will take place in the Rose Theater, at 7:30pm, on both nights. Be sure to mark your calendars!

Divided into three tableaus, this staged concert incorporates four texts by T.S. Eliot, Maurice Blanchot, Franz Kafka and Samuel Beckett, as Goebbels explores the melancholy of aging.
