The Latvian Radio Choir and Sinfonietta Riga to perform Arvo Pärt’s “Adam’s Lament” and other works

“There is a profound sense of sorrow at the root of this composition, yet it is balanced by what could best be described as a musical expression of love and humility,” writes Blogcritic’s Greg Barbrick about Arvo Pärt’s Adam’s Lament. On November 17th, the Latvian Radio Choir and the Latvian orchestra, Sinfonietta Riga will perform this workunder than baton of conductor Tõnu Kaljuste. This White Light Festival performance will take place in Alice Tully Hall, at 7:30pm.

Watch the Latvian Radio Choir perform “Ombres et images.” On November 16th, the Latvian Radio Choir, along with conductor Sigvards Kļava, will perform this work as well as many others, as part of Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival. The performance will take place in the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, at 7:30pm. They will also perform an all-Arvo Pärt program on the 17th in Alice Tully Hall.
